Jane Lindholm is the host, executive producer and creator of But Why: A Podcast For Curious Kids. In addition to her work on our international kids show, she produces special projects for ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý. Until March 2021, she was host and editor of the award-winning ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý program Vermont Edition.
Mark Breen is the senior meteorologist at the Fairbanks Museum and Planetarium in St. Johnsbury Vt. Along with weather forecasting, his work at the Museum involves teaching weather and science, as well as serving as the Planetarium Director in Vermont's only public planetarium.
Melody is the Contributing Editor for But Why: A Podcast For Curious Kids and the co-author of two But Why books with Jane Lindholm.
Karen is ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý's Director of Radio Programming & Operations, serving Vermonters by overseeing the sound of ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý's radio broadcast service. Karen has a long history with public radio, beginning in the early 2000's with the launch of the weekly classical music program, Sunday Bach. Karen's undergraduate degree is in Broadcast Journalism, and she has worked for public radio in Vermont and St. Louis, MO, in the areas of production, programming, traffic, operations and news. She has produced many projects for broadcast over the years, including the ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý's live multi-platform coverage of the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse, and interviews with local newsmakers alongside former Morning Edition host Mitch Wertlieb. In 2021, Karen began working on a national collaboration with StoryCorps One Small Step, connecting Vermonters across the political divide one conversation at a time.
