Fri 8/23/13 Noon & 7PM The bad news is Vermont only has 40 species of amphibians and reptiles. The good news is, if you’re a herpetologist, it’s easy to get to know a lot about all the snakes, lizards, frogs, turtles and salamanders you’ll encounter here.

Jim Andrews, coordinator of the , will introduce us to a lot of them and explain some of the issues they’re facing. And Steve Faccio shares information on the vernal pool mapping project being conducted by the .

Also on the program, VPR’s John Dillon discusses how a weak transmission network could curtail wind projects in the Northeast Kingdom.
