Justice Gap? Meeting the Civil Legal Needs Of Low-Income Vermonters

If your landlord kicks you out of your apartment illegally and you don't have enough money to hire a lawyer, what can you do? Although there are some free or low cost services out there, 75% of low-income Vermonters face their legal needs without help. Leave your comments below or write to [email protected].

We'll talk to Supreme Court Justice Beth Robinson about the Access to Justice Coalition, a group which was formed to help address this gap between the needs and services available in the civil system. We'll also hear from Eric Avildsen, Executive Director of , and Mary Ashcroft, director of the Pro Bono Program for the .
