The project, commissioned by the and the National Endowment for the Arts re-imagines music and events from the American Civil War through the language of jazz.
Joining McCarthy in the performance are Bill Mobley on trumpet, Daniel Ian Smith and Stantawn Kendrick on tenor saxophone, Cameron MacManus on trombone, Linda Little on baritone saxophone, Justin Kauflin on piano, Matt Aronoff on bass and Zach Harmon on drums.
