Bruce Lisman is a Burlington native who spent years working in global finance, and now he’s running in the Republican primary for governor of Vermont.  As part of our series, we speak with Lisman about his positions on gun control, marijuana legalization, health care and the other top issues facing the state.

Also in the program, in the state primary starting Friday. Primary Election Day is Tuesday, August 9, but Vermont allows 45 days of early voting. Secretary of State Jim Condos explains whether that makes a difference in voter turnout and the security of casting ballots.

Broadcast live on Friday, June 24, 2016, at noon; rebroadcast at 7 p.m.

Patti is an integral part of VPR's news effort and part of the team that created Vermont Edition.
