My Place: The Soulful Saxophone Of Andrew Love

Andrew Love was a session tenor saxophone player who played on many hit songs. He was featured on tracks with artists including Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding and Aretha Franklin.

As a key member of the Stax Records house rhythm section and a founding member of the Memphis Horns, tenor saxophonist Andrew Love played on hundreds of memorable recordings during a career in music that extended almost five decades.
This week, My Place explores the early years of Andrew Love and features songs by Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding and Aretha Franklin.

Joel Najman

Joel has been a part of Vermont's radio scene since 1964. He began his career at WIPS in Ticonderoga, New York. In 1965, he moved to WFAD in Middlebury, Vermont, where he attended Middlebury College. Over the years, Joel worked at radio stations WJOY, WQCR, WDOT, WDEV and WVAA where he served at various times as Morning Announcer, Program Director and News Director.
