Beavers are often thought to be a nuisance, but they also make positive contributions to the environment.
Biologists Sara Zahendra and Kent McFarland of the Vermont Center for Ecostudies are at the North Branch Nature Center in Montpelier at the site of an abandoned beaver lodge. They talk with North Branch Naturalist Educator Ken Benton about how beavers adapt to their environment. They also crawl inside the lodge and discover it can be kind of cozy!
