Snow geese mass by the hundreds each year at Dead Creek. We're talking with bird diva Bridget Butler about birds and the annual fall migration.

Elections come and go, but Vermont Edition's bird shows are eternal. We're taking a brief break from politics to watch the skies as flocks migrate south for the winter.

We're joined by bird diva - and we'll talk about the state of bird populations, conservation efforts, and the winter finch forecasts.

Plus, we'll talk to Craig Newman of  about the rescue and rehabilitation of a young bald eagle.

Broadcast live on Monday, October 24, 2016 at noon; rebroadcast at 7 p.m.

Ric was a producer for Vermont Edition and host of the VPR Cafe.
