From Sabers To Cybersecurity: 200 Years Of Norwich University

Norwich University was founded in Norwich, Vermont. The school then spent a few years in Connecticut, but eventually settled for good in Northfield.

Norwich University was founded in Norwich, Vermont. The school then spent a few years in Connecticut, but eventually settled for good in Northfield.

Two hundred years ago, the American Literary, Scientific and Military Academy opened in Norwich, Vermont as the first all-private military college. Today, it's known as and is located in Northfield. We'll learn about its storied history.

A new book chronicles the 200-year history of Norwich University.

, author of the new book, joins Vermont Edition to discuss the early nomadic existence of the school and the many graduates who have gone on to success in the U.S. military.

Jane Lindholm is the host, executive producer and creator of But Why: A Podcast For Curious Kids. In addition to her work on our international kids show, she produces special projects for ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý. Until March 2021, she was host and editor of the award-winning ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý program Vermont Edition.
