Our annual Mother's Day special, and a wondrous selection of live performances in our area this week.

David and Nate Gusakov, aka Last Train to Zinkov, will be playing at the Adamant Community Club on Saturday May 18th at 7 p.m.

Mary McGinniss and the Selkies will be playing at the Lamp Club Light Shop in Burlington on Saturday May 18thfrom 7 - 8:30 p.m.

Patty Carpenter & Verandah Porche with Jon Weeks and Wheeler Laird play 
Stage 33 Live at 33 Bridge Street in Bellows Falls, on Sunday, May 19th. Doors at 3, music begins at 4.

The band Billy Wylder will be performing at the Zen Barn in Waterbury on Friday May 17th and at Foam Brewers in Burlington on Saturday May 18th.

They Might be Gypsies will be playing at the Wild Fern in Stockbridge on Friday May 17th at 7 p.m.

Catamount Arts presents the Jarlath Henderson trio with local pipe trio the Piper's Den at  the United Community Church in St. Johnsbury on Sunday May 19th at 6:30 p.m.

The April Verch Band will play at the First Congregational Church of Lebanon, NH on Friday, May 17th at 7:30 p.m.

Next Stage Arts Project and Twilight Music present an evening of traditional and contemporary Scottish, Quebecois and world music from New England and Canada by Les Poules à Colin and Pipers Den on Friday, May 17that 7:30 p.m. at Next Stage in downtown Putney.

The Meeting House on the Green in East Fairfield kicks off its sixth concert series on Friday, May 17th with the VT Bluegrass Pioneers, an exciting band uniting the talents of four Vermont bluegrass veterans: including Danny Coane and brothers “Banjoâ€� Dan and Willy Lindner. Doors open at 6:30, music begins at 7.

There will be a contra dance at the Tinmouth Community Center on Friday May 17th from 8 - 11 with Don Stratton calling and with music provided by Brendan Taafe and Algo Lavvagi.

Old Songs in Voorheesville, NY presents Maeve Gilchrist & Nic Gareiss playing with Natalie Haas & Yann Falquet on Friday May 17th at 7:30 p.m.

Tina Collins and Quetzal Jordan, performing as Tina and her Pony, will be visiting Burlington at the Light Club Lamp Shop on Sunday, May 19th at 8 p.m.
 

Paul Asbell will be playing at the Good Times Cafe in Hinesburg on Saturday May 18th

 

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
