Two impressive music festivals in Vermont this weekend, many other live music shows, and even more summer songs!

This week's calaendar announcements:

The Sky Blue Boys and The VT Bluegrass Pioneers will be performing at the Plainfield Town Hall Opera House on Friday June 28th at 7:30 p.m.

Paul Asbell will be performing solo at the Double E Theater in Essex on Saturday June 29th at 7:30 p.m.

The 19th Annual Jenny Brook Bluegrass Festival will be happening from June 26 â€� June 30th at the Tunbridge fairgrounds.   Featured artists include the Earls of Leicester with Jerry Douglas, the Gibson Brothers, Beartracks, Beg Steal or Borrow, Carol Hausner with Mark Struscker, and many many more.

Rock Farmer Records is proud to present Patrick Ross’s Camping & Music Festival 2019 (June 28 - 30) at Harvest Moon Orchard in Newbury. This music festival for the whole family including performances by Lula Wiles, Rusty Dewees, Chad Hollister, Bow Thayer, Patrick Ross, Hunter Paye, Carol Hausner & Mark Struhsacker. Enjoy jam sessions, local food vendors, campsites and more…Proceeds will benefit The Vermont Folklife Center Master Apprenticeship Program. 

The Vermont duo Woodchuck's Revenge will be playing at the Middlebury Farmer's Market on Saturday June 29th at 9 a.m.

On Saturday, June 29th, The Meeting House on the Green in E. Fairfield welcomes Young Traditions Vermont, featuring three accomplished young ensembles: Romy & Ben Munkres, Duncan & Stokes, and The Zeichner Trio. Doors open at 6:30, music starts at 7.

George Nostrand and the Miss Guided Angels will be playing Rutland's Summer Concert Series at Main Street Park on Wednesday, June 26th at 7 p.m.

Next Stage Arts Project and Twilight Music present Julie Ness, Dave Wysocki and Tristan Bellerive performing Joni Mitchell's legendary album "Blue" on Saturday, June 29 at 7:30 pm at Next Stage at 15 Kimball Hill in downtown Putney.

Brandon Music presents singer songwriter Caroline Cotter on Saturday June 29th at 7:30 p.m.

The Vermont band Red Hot Juba will be playing on Friday June 28th at Deli 126 on College Street in Burlington. 

Burlington City Arts presents a series of free concerts in City Hall Park this summer, including noon shows this week with Lowell Thompson on Wednesday June 26th and the Revenants on Friday June 28th.

Dave Keller fronts a 9-piece soul review at Arts Riot in Burlington Saturday June 29th at  8 p.m.

The Sky Blue Boys will be playing a free concert at the York branch of the Aldrich Library in E. Barre on Thursday June 27th at 6:30 p.m.

 

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, ¿ªÔÆÌåÓý's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
