To meet Vermont's transportation needs for 2030, we have to start planning today. The Agency of Transportation is conducting a public survey to help determine how public transportation should be expanded in the next decade. We'll hear about that on Vermont Edition.
Joining us are Ross MacDonald, public transit coordinator in the Policy Planning and Intermodal Development Division, and Stephen Falbel, project manager for Steadman Hill Consulting.
They'll discuss whether Vermont's future will realistically include more buses and more trains, and how we meet the transportation needs of the more rural parts of the state. They'll also look at how the housing and health care needs of Vermont's aging population are being considered.
You can let the Agency of Transportation know your thoughts on the future of public transportation .
