This week, storytellers from around the region came together to tell tales about their moms in honor of Mother's Day. The event was part of a special Mother's Day edition of WCAX-TV's program, , which airs Sunday mornings at 7:30.
This-style storytelling event featured local storytellers Susanne Schmidt, Cindy Pierce and Kevin Gallagher.
Schmidt, who is from Burlington, told a tale of her feisty great-grandmother who dared to swim at a men's-only beach and was frequently arrested while marching with the suffragettes and fighting for women's rights.
