Balint introduces bill to help fund mental health training in schools

This hour, we talk with Rep. Becca Balint about her priorities in her early months in Washington.

Rep. Becca Balint introduced her first solo piece of legislation on Monday. The Peer Education and Emergency Response for Mental Health Act would create a grant program to support schools in training teachers and students in what's called "mental health first aid."

Host Mikaela Lefrak spoke with Rep. Balint about her proposed bill and catch up on other details from the lawmaker's first few months in Congress.
