Donovan v. Sorrell: Round 2?

One year after the fight of his political life, Attorney General Bill Sorrell that he’ll run for reelection again in 2014. Vermont’s longest-serving Attorney General, Sorrell was appointed by then-Governor Howard Dean in 1997.

For more than a decade, Sorrell was easily reelected every two years ­� until 2012. Last year, Chittenden County State’s Attorney T.J. Donovan mounted an aggressive primary campaign against Sorrell. Sorrell ultimately won, but by a slim 714-vote margin.

On Friday, Donovan didn’t rule out another run.

“I’m not going to have any comment right now,� he said. “We’ll talk in due time.�

, from July 15, 2013, didn’t shut the door on another campaign either. The candidate, still serving as state’s attorney, notably didn’t check the box on his campaign finance report that indicates the close of a campaign.
