One year after the fight of his political life, Attorney General Bill Sorrell that he鈥檒l run for reelection again in 2014. Vermont鈥檚 longest-serving Attorney General, Sorrell was appointed by then-Governor Howard Dean in 1997.
For more than a decade, Sorrell was easily reelected every two years 颅鈥� until 2012. Last year, Chittenden County State鈥檚 Attorney T.J. Donovan mounted an aggressive primary campaign against Sorrell. Sorrell ultimately won, but by a slim 714-vote margin.
On Friday, Donovan didn鈥檛 rule out another run.
鈥淚鈥檓 not going to have any comment right now,鈥� he said. 鈥淲e鈥檒l talk in due time.鈥�
, from July 15, 2013, didn鈥檛 shut the door on another campaign either. The candidate, still serving as state鈥檚 attorney, notably didn鈥檛 check the box on his campaign finance report that indicates the close of a campaign.
