Vermont PBS named Holly Groschner as president and CEO of the station, which has been since .
The circumstances of King’s departure were complicated by the fact that the station’s board of directors were found to have broken open meeting laws, reportedly to discuss problems with King.
Groschner comes to the job from the Vermont Telecommunications Authority, a quasi-governmental body tasked with facilitating the expansion of broadband and cellular service across Vermont. Groschner was general counsel at VTA.
She also has worked in the past for Downs, Rachlin and Martin, a Vermont lobbying and law firm, where she specialized in telecommunications, according to a release from Vermont PBS.
