On election day, Vermonters will go to the polls to vote on candidates for a number of offices across the state. One race that doesn't usually get much attention is state's attorney. All 14 county prosecutors are up for re-election. Only four of the races are contested.
In Bennington County, that incumbent state's attorney is . Erica Marthage 鈥� who won the Democratic and Republican primaries in August 鈥� was first elected in 2006 and has earned the .
Christina Rainville worked in Bennington County State鈥檚 Attorney鈥檚 office and specialized in prosecuting sex crimes. She鈥檚 challenging Marthage as an independent.
