Ahead of the November midterm elections, VPR is featuring interviews with candidates running for statewide office. Emily Peyton is the Liberty Union candidate for governor. This is Peyton's fourth time as a Vermont gubernatorial candidate. She lives in Putney and runs a business focused on building material made out of hemp.

Peyton spoke with VPR and discussed her positions on a tax-and-regulate system for marijuana, the state's Act 46 school district consolidation law, universal health care and Vermont's policy of sending some prisoners to facilities out of state.
