The president's annual State of the Union address 鈥� which had been delayed this year because of the partial government shutdown 鈥� took place Tuesday night.

VPR carried NPR's special live coverage of President Donald Trump's speech Tuesday night, and aired the subsequent Democratic response to the address delivered by Georgia politician Stacey Abrams 鈥� .
