A New Hampshire boarding school is backing out of a in Bennington.
Under the purchase and sales agreement, the had three months to examine the campus before making a financial commitment. The decision comes just before that deadline.
trustees of the Oliverian School voted on Friday to withdraw from the deal due to the high cost of campus maintenance and repairs.
The Oliverian School's website states "Oliverian is a non-profit, alternative, college-prep boarding school for adolescents who have not thrived in traditional settings."
The school had planned to close its Pike, New Hampshire campus and open in Bennington in the fall.
