Community Report: Barre Man Still Missing After Four Months

Ralph "Rizz" Jean-Marie was last seen in Barre in mid-April.

Ralph "Rizz" Jean-Marie of Barre has been missing since mid-April. VPR spoke with Eric Blaisdell, a staff writer at The Barre-Montpelier Times Argus who has written about the case since June.

Jean-Marie is 38, and is said to have left on foot and without much-needed items. Barre Police say they are continuing to follow several tips and leads and keep the case top-of-mind.

However, local organizations such as with a call to action, suggesting community members should contact members of the Barre Police. The group says they believe that law enforcement and local media that they would have if Jean-Marie was white.

In the course of his reporting, Blaisdell, spoke with Jean-Marie's family, and they say they believe Barre Police are doing all they can to find their loved one.
