Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders spoke at the Democratic National Convention Monday night, rallying voters for Joe Biden, and according to some Twitter interpretations, to ready their firewood for the impending winter.

Monday night, Vermont's Sen. Bernie Sanders gave a remotely-delivered speech during the virtual Democratic National Convention, pitching voters to pick former Vice President Joe Biden in the November presidential election. Parts of the internet, however, were preoccupied with the junior senator's chosen backdrop: a rather striking pile of logs.

Twitter had many a pun...

... and, it may come as a shock, facts.

Also: appreciation from Vermont's neighbors to the north.

Plus some Zoom-era commentary.

And last but not least, a note about Bernie Sanders always always staying on-brand.

Update 9 p.m.: This story was updated with language indicating Sen. Bernie Sanders delivered his DNC remarks live Monday evening.
